Beauty for Ashes and It's Purpose

When I wrote Beauty for Ashes: A Story of Redemption,  it was just to bring Ruth and Naomi into a very relatable modern day story.  Yet, while writing, I realize there was a message even for me in it.   First, healing is not an overnight process. When I think of the things that should have killed or destroyed me, I'm reminded God was always there, and that He brought me through healing and forgiving.   My biographies serve as a physical reminder that God is always healing, even after you think your process is complete.  There are layers to the healing.  There is peace and joy in the healing.  You learn to love yourself again, and see yourself through God's lens, not your own or other people's lenses.  People say you're stronger than what you realize.  Ruth wasn't the stronger.  She endured deep pain along with Naomi.  Naomi was alone with the death of her husband and her two sons. Her other daughter in law left also. But God gave her the support and future she needed through Ruth.  Who are the Naomi's and Ruth's in your life? It's easier to run from your hurt and pain than to face it. You will have to one day, though.  Do you have what you need to deal with those things? God has everything you need to get you to healing through it, and to the end of it. 

The second realization is God keeps a plan in place.  His perfect, right and good will for you.  You have a purpose. There is a reason why you are here on this earth and why God has chosen you. Your ashes were meant to fertilize others.  Romans 8:28 days ago things work together for good, to then that love God and are called according to His purpose.  God will never leave you nor forsake you.  The way is already made straight.  The only thing you have to do is follow God's plan to get where He wants you to be.
