My Goodbye Letters

My Goodbye Letters

Five books.  Five stages of me that overlapped, hurt, yet made me the woman that I am. Why goodbye letters? Because each book was saying goodbye to another piece of me that had to go, that had to die.  From childhood to adulthood, I've experienced things most people wouldn't have believe.  There are some people who probably don't believe what I've experienced.  That's OK. I'm still going to tell the stories for someone to hear, for them to know that they have a goodbye letter inside of them they just haven't written it yet.  My letters took time to write.  Not because I wanted them to, but because the times I wanted to write these letters wasn't the right time.  The stories were still being completed.  Just like in the Bible, there are letters that were written to churches that needed multiple parts.  My life has multiple parts, each having to be written at different junctures of healing.   Each letter specific to a time where God released me to speak the parts that no one knew, things I kept hidden, the deepest parts that may have been too painful to speak of before, but now didn't bleed anymore. The scars that remained, healed from the inside out.  Grab a poem and paper, or go to your laptop or computer. Write a letter to the you that was, the you that is, and the you that will come.  You'll see the growth and transformation you've made and what you need to make.

Thanks for sharing this! You wrote these letters at the right time, which is the perfect time. Healing is a process, and can’t wait to see where God takes you. You are an amazing woman!! This has made me think about my own life, and where I am at currently. Continue sharing as it is an inspiration sis.
